Here is a roundup of Veterans Day ceremonies and events, and what’s open and closed Monday, when the holiday is observed:

Ceremonies and events

Seattle Veterans Museum will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. today and Monday, Second Avenue between Union and University streets (west side of Benaroya Hall), Seattle. www.seattleveteransmuseum.org

Veterans and current members of the U.S. armed forces receive free admission to the Museum of Flight today. Special programs include a family workshop at 11:15 a.m. and a Veterans Day program noon-3:30 p.m. today. Open 10 a.m.-5 p.m., 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle. www.museumofflight.org

Evergreen-Washelli Memorial Park’s 58th annual tribute will begin at 11 a.m. (music begins at 10:30 a.m.) today, Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle.

Resident veterans will be honored at 11:30 a.m. today at Park Place Assisted Living, 6900 37th Ave. S., Seattle.

Veterans Day services are planned today at several African-American churches in King County.

• 11 a.m. at First African Methodist Episcopal Church, 1522 14th Ave., Seattle.

• 7:30 and 10:45 a.m., New Beginnings Christian Fellowship, Lindberg High, 16426 128th Ave. S.E., Renton.

• 8 and 11 a.m., Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Baptist Church, 4519 N.E. 104th St., Renton.

Closures on Monday

• Most government offices and schools will be closed in observance of Veterans Day.

• Most banks will be closed; some in-store branches open.

• Washington State Ferries will follow regular Sunday and Monday schedules.

• Most Metro bus routes will be in service Monday, but for exceptions check Metro’s Web site: www.metrokc.gov/kcdot/transtoday/2007news/nov/tt110507.htm#feature2

• Community Transit and Everett Transit operate regular Sunday and Monday schedules.

• Post offices are closed. No home mail delivery, except express mail.

• State liquor stores are closed, but some contract stores may be open.

• Major shopping malls are open regular hours

• Seattle and King County libraries will be closed today and open Monday. Sno-Isle libraries will close today and Monday.

• Seattle parking meters and pay stations are free on Monday. Peak-hour parking restrictions are still in effect.

• Garbage pickup and transfer stations follow regular Monday schedules.
